Abstract

AbstractCalifornian academics specialising in environmental geopolitics, Manuel Shvartzberg Carrió and Danika Cooper explore the Red Deal proposed by The Red Nation that declares that decolonisation of Indigenous peoples and their land is at the heart of solving the climate crisis. It argues against neoliberalism, is left‐facing, supports the plural nature of our societies, and advocates for the end of exploitative private wealth structures and imperial sovereignty dominating land ownership.
