Abstract

An apparatus is described for recording rumen movements in the intact cow. This apparatus has been used successfully on 14 out of 15 cows. The movements recorded by this apparatus were inhibited by hyosciue and usually by carbachol. Eserine and posterior pituitary extract had no effect.
