Abstract

This chapter seeks to assess critically British government policy on the reception and resettlement of Vietnamese quota refugees. In particular, it describes and evaluates policy in three key areas; the administrative structure which was developed to integrate the activities of governmental and non-governmental organisations; the reception centre programmes; and the provision of housing, social support, employment and English language tuition during resettlement.
