Abstract

The interruption method has been employed to follow the change with time of theiR potential gradient corresponding to the potential fall between the anode and the end of a Haber-Luggin capillary. According to the experimental results the process of anodic discharge of oxygen on a Ti/RuO2 + TiO2 electrode in 1 M H2SO4 is accompanied by a loss of the active layer and by the simultaneous formations of a nonconducting, most probably oxidic, film.
