Abstract

The real-time DSP-based cross-correlation speed measurement system is designed by using the digital signal processor TMS320F2812 as the core controller. the optoelectronic devices is used to detect the signal of cross correlation, which is processed by the wide-band amplifiers and the low-pass filters. Meanwhile the corresponding embedded multitasking software is developed. We evaluate the performance of this system by measuring the linear speed of the rotary dial on motor. It is showed by experimental results that the real-time speed measurement system works satisfactorily in the stabilization, which is proved this system is stable and highly reliable with low cost.
