Abstract

This study aimed to identify the reality of using the e-learning platforms in teaching and its relationship to the gain of professional skills of the public school teachers in Southern Shuna district in Jordan, from their point of view in light of the Corona pandemic, through the scholastic year (2020/2021). A descriptive methodology was followed using two questionnaires, the first one consisted of (17) items, the second one consisted of (11) items. A stratified random sample was drawn from the population of the study. It consisted of (171) male and female teachers. The results showed that the degree of using e-learning platforms in teaching and the gain of professional skills was medium, there were statistically significant differences between the teachers’ responses means that refer to gender in favor of females, and there were no statistically significant differences that refer to the years of experience. There was a positive relationship between the use of e-learning platforms in teaching and the gain of professional skills.
