Abstract

Abstract In this study, ionic platinum(II) complexes of the general formula (Pt(L-L) (PPh3)X]X, where L-L = dppm (Ph2PCH2PPh2), dppe (Ph2P(CH2)2PPh2), dppp (Ph2P(CH2)3PPh2), dcpe (Cy2P(CH2)2PCy2), Cy = cyclohexyl (C6H11); X = Cl', Br−, have been synthesized by the reaction of [Pt(L-L)X2] with PPh3 and characterized by 31P(1H)-nmr, ir, uv-visible and conductance data.
