Abstract

The mass spectra of eleven dialkyl alkylphosphonates have been determined. The rearrangement under the electron impact, which is found in trialkyl phosphates, trialkyl phosphites and dialkyl hydrogen phosphites, accounts for the major peaks of the phosphonates. The carbon-phosphorus bond shows appreciable cleavage.
