Abstract

Abstract Parts I–III of this series described the use of combinations of secondary amine and sulfur and of N,N′-thiobisdiethylamine Et2N⋅S⋅NEt2 as olefinic sulfurating agents. The introduction of N,N′-thiobisamines, (RR′N)2Sx, as vulcanizing agents for rubber justifies a more detailed study of their properties.
