Abstract

1. The radical-forming reaction between tert-butyl hydroperoxide and tetraethylammonium bromide in n-propyl solution has been studied by the inhibitor method. 2. The reaction takes place bimolecularly between a molecule of hydroperoxide and a Br− ion with a constant k=4.0 · 108 · e−19500/RT liter/mole · sec.
