Abstract

1. 1. Kinetics of the reaction of 2,4-dinitrofluorobenzene with poly-1-lysine has been investigated over the pH range 8.5–10.85. 2. 2. The reactivity of the polylysine was resolved into four parts; two associated with helical regions and two associated with coil regions. 3. 3. The helical and coil regions were further resolved into uncatalyzed and hydroxide catalyzed components.
