Abstract
Abstract Lithium butatrienolates were prepared in situ by the 1,4-elimination from 2-butynyl trimethylsilyl ethers along with a retro-Brook rearrangement. The addition reaction of the enolates with the aldehydes afforded β-hydroxy-α-vinylidene acylsilanes.
