Abstract
Diamagnetic [(C 6Me 6)Cr(CO) 2( p-RC 6H 4N 2)] + (R = H, OMe and NO 2) which react with H - to afford neutral cyclohexadienyls, result from thereaction of (C 6Me 6)Cr(CO) 2L, L = CO, with diazonium salts, whereas paramagnetic [(C 6Me 6)Cr(CO) 2(PPh 3)] + results when L = PPh 3.
