Abstract

The monitoring of government administration performance is an important element of supervision over its appropriate performance. Control over working processes plays a central role in the process of adaptation and development of public administration as well as enterprise development. In this paper, we suggest that the adoption of legislation that would prescribe obligatory elements of transparency based on modern information technology (from the intranet to the internet) would substantially improve the range and depth of control of government administration from the point of view of internal and external control mechanisms and therefore contribute to the effectiveness of the public sector.
