Abstract
Abstract This paper is concerned with the underlying rationale behind the High School Geography Project. Despite obvious sales success, the purpose and validity of the High School Geography Project objectives are closely examined. The selection and sequence of concepts are analyzed in terms of their academic, commercial and political expediency. The writer, a visiting academic on study leave from Australia, provides an outsider's interpretation of the strengths and weaknesses of H.S.G.P.
