Abstract

Study of the one-dimensional supersonic gas flow through a grid of cylinders was performed by the direct simulation Monte Carlo method. The distinguishing features of the shock disturbance formation by interaction of a flat-parallel flow of rarefied gas with a permeable obstacle were ascertained. The relative number of dissociating particles depending on the degree of rarefaction, the temperature factor and the dissociation coefficient were calculated for the considered range of the flow parameters.
