Abstract

The 29 different species of pasture plants, now commercially available to farmers in New Zealand, may make the choice of pasture seeds and seeds mixtures much more complicated, but their particular features can add significant value to farming. The suitability of these species is presented for the main categories of New Zealand's pastoral land: summer-moist lowland, cast coast dryland, hill country, and the South Island's high country.
