Abstract

In connection with the Congress at the Central Hall on December 5, 6 and 7, the usual exhibition of apparatus was organised by the manufacturers. A casual round of the exhibition might well have led to the idea that there was little change from last year; this impression, however, was not confirmed when a closer examination was made. On almost every stand there were indications of significant changes and advances, particularly in the field of radiographic apparatus. The tendency to improve apparatus from the point of view of mechanical engineering, referred to at last year's exhibition, has been well maintained. The use of the unit system has now made possible the installation of completely shock-proof apparatus for diagnostic work or for therapy, without the necessity of complicated structural alterations.
