Abstract
The Museum of Historical Radiology will definitely open in October 1967, in some 2,000 square feet of air-conditioned space on the twenty-ninth floor at 20 North Wacker Drive, Chicago, Ill. This area is adjacent to the Home Office of the American College of Radiology. The origin of medical museums is obscured by antiquity. Evidence indicates that there was such a museum in Alexandria as early as three hundred years before Christ. Ours will be the newest in a long succession and will embody the best obtainable, as determined by our Museum Committee and our Curator, Mr. Robert T. Morrison. The museum is now a member of the American Museum Association. It will also have formal liaison and reciprocal relationships with the National Library of Medicine at Bethesda, Md.
