Topics include the radiation environment of high-energy proton accelerators, electron accelerators, and accelerators with energies >7 l0 GeV; radiation protection (dose equivalent, dose equivalent--depth distributions, and conversion factors); shielding (phenomenological models and Monte Carlo calculations); and induced radioactivity (accelerator components and other solids, air and water, and the environmental impact of radioactivity).
