Abstract

Studies relating to transients in cylindrical transmitting and receiving antennas generally require knowledge of both the steady-state effective length and impedance of these structures over a wide frequency range. A table for the complex radian effective half-length of cylindrical antennas less than 1.3 <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">\lambda</tex> long, when the incident electric field is polarized parallel to the axis of the conductor, is provided in this paper.
