Abstract
The article is devoted to the question of the possible occupation of Burgas in the context of the preparation for the Bosphorus operation. The approaches to this issue of the military-political leadership of the Russian Empire are analyzed, and the importance of Burgas in the light of the planned amphibious warfare is shown.
