Abstract
Background to the audit: There has always been a considerable reservation about the mobile non departmental chest xrays compared to the traditional departmental studies. There is a perception that mobile films are technically difficult to perform, interpret and more likely to be of inadequate quality due to a number of reasons. The projection is anterior posterior and hence the anatomy tends to be less sharp with greater magnification.
