Abstract

In past years, urologists have assessed the combination of cancer control with adequate functional outcomes after prostatectomy, known as Trifecta. No such attempt for a composite endpoint has been made for either external beam radiotherapy (EBRT) or brachytherapy (PB) of prostate cancer. In the present study, we define a Quadrella outcome in regard to disease control and preservation of urinary, gastrointestinal (GI) and sexual functions in a cohort of patients submitted to permanent seed prostate brachytherapy.
