Abstract
A method for the isolation of pig gallbladder mucin, the major glycoprotein of pig gallbladder bile, is described. Two distinct mucins were isolated, A and H pig gallbladder mucins from blood group A and H pigs, respectively. The chemical compositions and chemical and immunochemical properties of these two mucins are described.
