Abstract

The protective action of eight different barbituric acid derivatives against anoxia was investigated in mice. The increase in survival time ranged between 0 % and 180 %. Three drugs was given in both equimolar‐ and equipotent doses; for these drugs the increase in survival time ranged between 50 % and 180 %, indicating that the difference in protective action depends on differences between the miscellaneous barbituric acid derivatives.
