Abstract

Organization structure is a system which defined a hierarchy within an organization. It identified each job, it responsibilities and information flows within the organization. Organizational structure normally represented into organizational chart. Digital workplace is a trend of future work where the raised of disruptive of technology accelerate the diffusion of digital workplace in organization. It is considered as natural evolution of the workplace since the industrial revolution. It comprised of employee’s usage of technology to do job with regardless of places and time. However, rely on technology is not enough. Organization structure plays an important role of organization success. It has been a requirement for every organizational of any business organization. One of common challenges of company is how to adequately prepare organizational structure that supports digital workplace. Hence, this paper will explore elements which related to organization structure for digital workplace as well as it benefits. The literature reviews will focus on key elements of organizational structure which related to digital workplace. An empirical study will be conducted to identify the function of each element of the organizational structure for digital workplace. The findings of the research were carried out through literature reviews from multiple scholars which related to organizational structure. The result shows that there are types of organization structure that relate to digital workplace. And each type carries different function to the organizational structure.
