Abstract
THE iterational process for the numerical solution of Dirichlet's problem for Poisson's equation in two independent variables is discussed. (Some of the author's results on this topic were presented to the Third Siberian Conference on Mathematics and Mechanics in 1964 [1]. Though some similar papers have been published (e.g. [2, 3]), the iterational method considered below has several special features and should therefore be of interest.)
