Yahil, A. Abstract It is proposed that superluminal radio sources be used as a probe of the cosmological proper motion-redshift relation. The test is potentially the most powerful way of determining the cosmological parameters, and it is free of evolutionary corrections. Present data already determine the Hubble constant, up to a model-dependent factor, to an accuracy of 6%. A modest increase in sample size can establish the deceleration parameter with sufficient certainty to differentiate between an open and a closed universe.
