Abstract

AbstractsAt the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology graduate engineers from all engineering disciplines undertake a Master Degree program in systems engineering which introduces these experienced engineers to the concepts and processes used in systems engineering practice. The integration of these concepts and processes into the real world of technology systems and in particular into the world of the individual course participant depends heavily on the successful completion of a minor thesis project. Our experience in the management of 105 systems engineering projects has identified a number of problems and success factors and has led to the development of a procedure for the successful management of these projects.
