Abstract

This paper describes a study of the choke of correct looping structures and errors in assignment by novice assembly language programmers, and shows the relationship of these two factors to writing a correct program and to final grades in the class. Although there was a significiant correlation between writing a correct program and selecting the correct looping structure, there seems to be no relationship between using the appropriate looping structure and final grades in the class.
