Abstract

Background: Follicular thyroid carcinomas are the second most common form of thyroid cancer and are closely associated with RAS mutations.1,2 Whilst still poorly understood, there are several small studies suggesting that thyroid cancers with RAS mutations are associated with a poor prognosis. This study seeks to investigate the prognostic value of RAS positive mutations within FTCs.
