Abstract

This research examined the profile of students’ creativity through dioramas and flannel board in learning ecosystem. The method that used is descriptive research by using creativity rubric score of two group design for comparison. The sample was taken by cluster random sampling technique with the population from students in 7thgrade at Junior High School in Bandung, the samples in experimental class (n=24 students) and control class (n=24 students). This research obtained students’ creativity use rubric of creativity product to support the qualitative data and questionnaire in order to analyze students’ impression. For treatment in experiment class use dioramas while for control class use flannel board. Dioramas was 3-D shaped made from clay while flannel board was 2-D shaped made from flannel and pictures that stick on the board. Based on the result of data analysis, the findings measured by three aspects from creativity dimension those are Novelty, Resolution, and Elaboration and Synthesis. In dioramas class and flannel board class, the creativity dimension of Novelty, Resolution, and Elaboration and Synthesis get the percentage of 86,11% > 43,75%, 85,62% > 50%, and 85,62% > 51,67% respectively. The students’ impression in dioramas class get the best response in indicator of student’s character that appear in creating dioramas which is 80,83%. Meanwhile, in flannel board class get the best response in team work ability which is 77,22%. Thus, the research findings show that students’ creativity in the dioramas class get percentage of product creativityis higher than flannel board class in learning ecosystem.
