Abstract
This study is a research measuring the proficiency of the common Turkish-Greek vocabulary in Rum minority schools in Çanakkale. A qualitative research method was employed in the study, which is descriptive and aims to reveal an existing situation. The study group for this research was determined using purposive sampling method. The main source of the study is the work titled 'To Kino Leksilogio tis Ellinikis ke Turkikis Glossas,' written by Maria Dimasi and Ahmet Nizam in Greece, which focuses on the common Turkish-Greek vocabulary. Two hundred words from this work were selected, and a commission of experts, fluent in both languages, was formed to create three different measurement tools. These tools were then applied to the students of Private Gökçeada Rum Elementary School, Private Gökçeada Rum Middle School, and Private Gökçeada Rum High School. It has been determined that at least 90% or more of the 200 words in this study were known in at least one language.
