Abstract

One of the wind tunnels at the University of Bristol is utilized for investigations in industrial aerodynamics. Recently a specially designed heat exchanger system has been installed which permits a controlled temperature gradient to be maintained in the tunnel. This equipment is principally intended for use in connection with experiments on effluent dispersal from chimneys, in which the atmospheric temperature lapse rate is an important influence.
