Abstract

The time and phase synchronization are the important issues that must be addressed for bistatic synthetic aperture radar (BiSAR). The processing of synchronization is discussed in the paper. First, the synchronization scheme of LuTan-1 system is introduced in detail. The test results of ground validation system are illustrated to verify the synchronization scheme in LuTan-l. Then, an algorithm based on frequency offset estimation and iteration processing is also proposed for the noncooperative BiSAR. The proposed algorithms have great application potential for future BiSAR system.
