Abstract

The aim of this study is to make evaluations on the subject by making use of the problems that school administrators have with parents according to the opinions of school administrators. A total of 12 principals working in preschool, primary, secondary and high schools participated in this study, which is carried out in the qualitative research method and phenomenology pattern. Easily accessible sampling from purposeful sampling methods was used in determining the participants of the research. In the collection of research data, a semi-structured interview form prepared by the researcher according to the relevant literature and the objectives of the research was used. Descriptive analysis and content analysis were used in the analysis of the data. The results of the research showed that the periodic, legislative, financially based and teacher-parent, teacher-student and student-parent problems were experienced. However, it has been concluded that parents' concerns about their students occurred in the periodic problems, because of the different interpretations in terms of legislation, there are problems according to the lack of financial resources in schools and communication problems between teacher-parent-student-school principals. The results of the research have been opened for discussion connected to the related literature and some suggestions have been presented.
