Abstract
The question of polytechnical training of young students in A. S. Makarenko's pedagogical system has yet to be adequately elucidated, although the ideas of the polytechnization of young people occupied a definite place both in his scientific-theoretical and literary works and in his practical work. What's more, for about ten years he waged a fierce struggle against various bureaucratic departments of the Ukrainian SSR People's Commissariat of Education for the right of all students to receive a comprehensive, harmonious education and polytechnical training.
