Abstract

My main purpose in this paper is to state my own positon with respect to what is commonly called the problem of knowledge. I do so, however, in discussion with the phenomenological tradition. Consequently, the second section of my paper is devoted to a lengthy statement and criticism of Husserl's theory of knowledge. And in the footnotes I indicate my critical views of Heidegger and Merleau-Ponty.
