Abstract

In this paper, effects of geometry changes during 32P counting by a liquid scintillator are analyzed. The results obtained suggest that this effect is due to a precipitation of labelled compound from scintillation solution and settling on the bottom of the vial. Simultaneous sorption of labelled compound to the vial wall is also taken into consideration.
