Abstract

In this paper I will be chiefly concerned with a hitherto unknown passage from Samuel Ibn Tibbon's (ca. 1160 ca. 1232) philosophical-exegetical work, Ma'amar Yiqqawu ha-Mayim (Treatise 'Let the Waters be Gathered').1 The passage has the character of a short independent work, which probably was incorporated by Ibn Tibbon into an already existing version of MYM. It is of considerable interest for a number of reasons.
