Abstract

The pelvic radiographs of 214 patients were reviewed and the prevalence of phleboliths statistically analysed. The overall prevalence was 39·2%. There was a highly significant increase in the number of patients having phleboliths with increasing age. No difference was found in the prevalence between the two sexes. No significant difference was found in the prevalence of phleboliths in patients with urinary tract infection compared with the control group of patients.
