Summary

Introduction

The general well-being and the overall quality of life of both sexes can be influenced by the sexual health. One of the most significant aspects of quality of life is proper sexual functioning, which provides a sense of psychological, physical, and social well-being. Sexual health is defined by The World Health Organization (WHO) as “a state of physical, mental and social well-being in relation to sexuality. It requires a positive and respectful approach to sexuality and sexual relationships, as well as the possibility of having pleasurable and safe sexual experiences, free of coercion, discrimination and violence” (WHO, 2021). Sexual issues are frequently caused by a complex interplay of biological/medical, psychological, and social variables. A chronic health condition or psychiatric drug, for example, may be the cause of sexual dysfunction. 52 percent of 40 to 70 year old men have some form of SD (Chen etal. 2019)
