Abstract

The Sri Lanka Journal of Psychiatry (SLJP) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal published bi annually by the Sri Lanka College of Psychiatrists.The Journal publishes original papers, brief reports including case reports and commentaries relevant to psychiatry and allied sciences. Summary

Methods

This was a descriptive cross-sectional study conducted in two cancer units. Participants included females with pathologically proven breast cancer attending oncology clinics, and the sample size was 335. Participants were screened for depression using the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression. Socio-demographic and clinical information regarding the cancer was collected using a questionnaire
