Abstract

We describe the set-up for magnetization measurements in a pulsed magnetic field (17T) under hydrostatic pressure (15 kbar) generated in helium gas. The pressure chamber is situated inside the pulse solenoid. The design, performance and limitations of the apparatus are presented, using simple calculations for the diffusion of a pulsed magnetic field into the metallic chamber body.
