Abstract
The authors review the heat treatment and surface hardening equipment and technology used by the Mogilev metal enterprises in the production of heavy equipment. Specific information is given on spray and diffusion coating technology and the effects of a variety of metals, including boron and chromium, on the hardness and wear resistance of the coated alloys. Suggestions are also tendered for automation and optimization of the processes.
