Abstract
High quality particle-free YBa 2Cu 3O 7−x superconducting films have been fabricated by laser ablated plasma collision deposition techniques. X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy and scanning tunneling microscopy analysis show that both the particle density and the particle size in the prepared c-axis oriented films have been greatly reduced, and the films are dominantly formed by screw dislocation generated spiral growth.
