Abstract

English writing is an important part of English learning and an important indicator of students’ comprehensive use of English. In English writing teaching, schema theory has a certain guiding role and is favored by many educators. The article focuses on the connotation of schema theory, the relationship between schema theory and English teaching, and how to apply schema theory to the teaching of writing in secondary school. Therefore, in the English writing classroom, teachers should use the schema theory to help students improve their English writing ability.
