Abstract

As the source of power producers and power systems, the safe and stable operation of power plants are related to the safety and quality of the entire power system. If the power plant is subjected to various types of over voltages without an effective and reliable precaution and failure to deal with the accident, it may affect the safety of the power system and regional power supply quality. If the electrical equipment in the power plant is damaged by lightning overvoltage or other properties of overvoltage, it is difficult to restore regional power supply in a short period of time, which may cause serious power supply accidents. In order to provide reference for future lightning protection and over — voltage protection of power plant, ATP-EMTP, an electromagnetic transient simulation software, which is applied in this paper to simulate the lightning protection system of power plant, mainly to analyze the lightning intrusion wave and other properties of the operation The impact of voltage on the electrical equipment in the power plant and how to rationally configure the zinc oxide surge in the power plant to ensure the electrical safety of the power plant and improve the anti-interference ability of the power plant.
