Abstract

This piece offers two brief interviews with Iñaki García Arrizabalaga and Maixabel Lasa, two victims of terrorism who suffered the murder of their father and husband respectively. They are two people of exceptional human quality, who far from feeding any hatred or desire for revenge, have done extraordinary work on a personal and social level to contribute to the pacification of Basque society. In addition to their pedagogical work through talks and meetings in various educational and cultural institutions, they have participated in restorative encounters with terrorist perpetrators. In addition, both have participated in different peace organizations in the Basque Country. After a brief introduction on the importance of life history as a qualitative research method, some fragments of the interviews conducted are offered. The responses include reflections on the social impact of the film Maixabel (Bollain 2021) which portrays episodes in the life of Maixabel Lasa.
